Alter Ego - Audrey Hepburn
Anne has always had a passion for learning and a curiosity about new ideas and ways of doing things. She loves to work with people and organisations to help them to develop clarity about what they need to do to change, adapt and improve, how to go about that and develop the confidence to move forward. She is also always keen to contribute to change and improvement activities at the system level.
She has undertaken this work in Universities as a Senior Lecturer and Researcher in leadership and management and as a Consultant in organisational development and change and she continues to work across these spheres. Most of her work has been in the health and community services sectors with not-for-profits, for purpose and government organisations and agencies. This has involved organisational strengthening reviews, leadership development, program evaluations, strategic thinking, planning and governance and stakeholder engagement and consultation work.
Lately, this has involved considerable work in the family violence sector as Victoria rolls out historic system change. Recently, alongside her Accuteque colleague Lesley Thornton, Anne has worked in the International Development space to bring organisational development and strengthening frameworks and insights to bear on the development efforts in our region. She and Lesley have also undertaken a number of organisational reviews.
An important aspect of the portfolios that make up her work is her pro-bono contributions to not-for-profit organisations including her role as Chair of WIRE Women’s Information and Chair of governance at an independent school. She also mentors a number of young women making their way in the world. She is never far from educational and learning environments and organisations concerned with social justice and the public good.
Anne's wonderful family are a source of great joy, especially her 3-year-old grandson who is a delight. She also loves travel and learning about different countries and cultures.
